Screen Printing - What is it?

Commercial printing technology involves the production show a large number of scripts at a rapid pace. Although you can see, even common articles of daily use make use of a printing application in one form or another. Screen printing is ideal for bold designs and detailed graphics. However, data from the small dark can also be doubled. Modern printing technology is a good example of rapid development in various commonly used devices and equipment in our life and the impact of science in improving efficiency.

Screen printing is a method used mainly for printing or relatively flat surface. The procedure involves a fine mesh or screen securely stretched around a rigid frame. The sections are not printed on the screen freezes. To create a print, the screen is placed on a piece of dry cloth or paper and ink is placed on top of it. A rubber sheet is used to spread the ink evenly across the screen. The ink passes through the open spaces on the screen on paper or fabric below after which the screen is removed. The screen is usually durable and long lasting and can be reused after cleaning.

If more than one dye is to be used in the same area, then the original ink must dry before the process is repeated with another screen of the same design and a different ink color. The screen becomes part of the issue to be printed along with a dollop of thick ink. In previous methods, the ink is dried for long periods of time. However, in modern times an article is passed through a heat tunnel on a conveyor belt. This method ensures fast drying inks, allowing the materials to be stacked or packaged almost immediately.

Properly dried screen elements are long lasting impression, even in unfavorable conditions. If the print area includes the darker elements, usually a copy of the base of support is required. A light base color, preferably white is used. This method ensures that the successive colors retain their exuberance and are noticeable.

Today, screen printing is much more flexible than conventional printing techniques. printing inks used for screen printing on a wide range of surface materials, including textiles, ceramics, metal, wood, paper, glass and synthetic elements. This has resulted in the use of screen printing in diverse industries, from fashion garments to manufactured goods and labels.
